Annette Geistfeld Wild Iris Press
Annette Geistfeld is a multi-media artist working and living in Tucson, Arizona. Her love of artists books began with her keen interest in collecting decorative papers; marbelized, imported, hand-made and commercial printed. She combines the use of these papers in unique book structures, often using inspirational quotes that have touched her. Many of her unique books, journals and hand-made cards are also made using papers she has designed. With inspiration from her love of nature and textiles, she has created intricate papers. Her collaged handmade cards are suitable for framing. For more information contact her at annettegeistfeld@comcast.net |

_____________________________________________________ The Iris is a favorite flower of mine. In the Iliad, Iris was the goddess of the rainbow who delivered messages from the eye of heaven via the rainbow. Today the name Iris belongs to the goddess herself, to her namesake flower, and to the center of our eyes. In flower language, an iris is given to imply fidelity or to let someone know a message or good news is waiting. ©2006 Annette Geistfeld |
